Recently I got asked a question about the relation between Candida Albicans and the relation of Prostatitis. If you are unsure what prostatitis is exactly it is a inflammation formed in and around the prostate causing an aching pain which can cause lack of sex drive and extreme discomfort for the individual.
There is no known exact cause however the theory in which i agree is that it is related to a form of candida or thrush that gets into the prostate area. Below is a recent question on the subject with my answer.
I saw this post and the video clip when I was looking up about candida in the prostate. I am in the UK. I believe that prostatitis can be caused by candida overgrowth (systemic candida) which comes from the gut system because of overuse of antibiotics. Antibiotics kill all the good gut flora and candida/yeasts/fungus/bacteria overgrow causing leaky gut syndrome. That in turn means a intestinal permeability will cause auto-immune illness and allow candida to attack anywhere.
Usually this is the urinary system and can cause interstitial cystitis in men and prostatitis. No doctors care about prostatitis over here, they just give out more and more antibiotics. No one looks at the “whole” person and sees what this is doing. The medical profession will not recognize Candida.
Please is there anyone out there to talk to this about. We need to get this recognized. Candida is a hell to get rid of and no matter what you do it comes back. Pharmaceutical drugs just damage the liver.
Would like to contact with someone over this as so many men in desperate need of help. I’m only young. Thanks.
I did a post on a similar problem like this in when Candida can spread to the prostate..
And yes leaky gut is the theory on it. I had a recurrent bout of prostatitis a year or so ago and found that the only solution that worked for me was eliminating a couple of elements in diet as well as lots of exercise..
I recommend going and getting a really good allergy test from like a NAET expert, they are a little different to normal allergy specialists as they specialize in finding and removing that allergy with acupuncture and energy centers on the body.. It works wonders as prostatitis is like a allergy response as well.. For me giving up tea and coffee for about 4 or 5 months (caffeine allergy can cause it too) as well as switching to virgin coconut oil which will help eliminate any Candida in the bladder or prostate area.. Drink a small amount each day at different times.. Coconut is a great remedy.. Did this for over a month and continue to do just less now and no prostate symptoms now.. Also coconut is an old medicine for the prostate and bladder problems.. cystitis..etc..
As for the connection between it and Candida, i agree totally and fully understand and agree.. The pain is the inflammation is caused by Candida, that is my theory as well..
When i had it bad, i noticed drinking a lot of water irritated it and also came to the possibility bottled water was a contributor as well so if you use plastic bottled water switch to glass or filtered tap or rain water if possible.. When drinking non plastic water i noticed a dramatic improvement in symptoms as well.. every one is different though..
Another thing to do is eliminate all chemicals from your life which may help, many people who have Candida caused by a chemical sensitivity so change some aspects of daily lifestyle.. Such as do not use fluoride toothpaste.. Fluoride is toxic.. Use a non fluoride herbal toothpaste.. also do not use harsh detergents or washing powder, going the natural alternatives costs a little more but can dramatically improve health.. Another aspect to consider is if you have amalgam fillings to have them removed safely as these are linked to immune problems.. To do that safely though you need a good dentist that uses a dam in the mouth and oxygen..
This is on my plan as well for the next 6 months..
Also I recommend never taking Nexium or Anti inflammatory Medicine for it as this only hides the problem, unless of course it is the last option.. This one is up to you. I tried for a short while and it makes Candida Symptoms so much worse..
Hope this helps..
