What is it about yeast..? Why do we use it, why was it created and is it really needed..? The truth is yeast is truly a useless product other than the fact it makes alcohols, breads and flours rise well. I mean why use something that can harm us to create such a basic effect.. Its like an experiment really. But what really sucks is since the major use of yeast over the last 30 years it has caused many nasty side effects, one being the result of Candida..

Yes Candida, lets consume so much yeast that we start our own brewing factory inside of yeast that causes a multitude of yeast infections.. Does that sound like fun..? Not really but, it is easy to say, but horrible to experience..

The truth is let’s face it, yeast causes problems. We all need to see this. So what is the solution, do we ignore it or abide by it or do we make choices.. Yes that is right, i know its hard to eliminate those nasty addictive yeasty foods, but i believe you will agree the positives far out weigh the negative.. Start to reduce the intake.. Have some low sugar fruits instead for breakfast..

I know it is a hard one, society almost places it in front of us all the time, even in many biscuits or crackers, drinks, just for flavour.. Dang, sometimes yeast and sugar.. Candida heaven.. Healthy choice or a health risk, you tell me..?

The question Can a Broken Heart Cause Candida was asked of me recently. While the two are not officially linked scientifically, it is easy to see how emotional pain such as a break up can cause all sorts of problems, one being the susceptibility to Candida Albicans. Emotions are a big part in a lot of illnesses or conditions, candida being no different.

So what is the solution if you have a broken heart and now you believe you have candida..? The only solution i can think of is to reflect on what makes you happy when you are alone. I mean we can choose to be upset and to hide deep in our emotions or we can choose to fight those feelings enough in order to move on.. I am not saying it is easy but a big part of it all is understanding.. Nothing goes much further than that in many ways.. It is so easy to blame your ex love or blame yourself, but deeply inside sometimes things change.. Its a sad truth of life, sometimes a broken heart is part of the story.

We all have to remember how we felt before the broken heart, before the relationship. You were okay were n’t you..? Now it is time to get back to that.. Look after yourself now and be happy.. Now going back to the candida aspect that may be playing in the same arena.. Try to throw it just like the hurt of the broken heart, if it was caused by emotions, then as you heal, so too will that form of candida.. Understanding Candida Mentally

Like all forms of sickness there is a mental aspect to take into account.. Candida is no different. As it effects the immune system and burrows deep into our body, our mental state can often at times play tricks.. This is an important aspect not to ignore. If you were a negative person before you got candida now is the time to reconsider your perspective of life. After all negative can only attract negative and positive can only attract positive. Now is a time to lift your spirits high and see where it goes.. See life differently and start to see the real world..

If you hate your job, now is the time for a fresh change, i mean if you keep doing the same cycle do you really think things are going to change. I am not trying to sound like a positive speaker, but that really is how it all needs to be looked at.. Leave those things behind that have been dragging you down. Move onto what the mind wants and try to see candida as a passing moment.. In time as you progress on your diet the mind can help heal amazing aspects of one self. Keep focused mentally is the key..

The understanding of candida mentally really is about a third of what is needed to heal i believe. Other than diet and exercise of course we cannot forget to exercise the brain healthily as well.. Try to asses your life and see if anything may be attributed to the drop in your system resulting in the candida outbreak.. If you can see a possible reason, remedy it as best as you can do and then see how you feel. You may even find that your case of candida is highly due to emotional weights or possible even external emotional pressures.. Time to let go..

If you have been to a Candida specialist you may already know the basics on diet for Candida.. However sometimes they tend to leave some important life facts that need to be taken into account other than just a strict diet. To begin with let me explain the basic diet for those suffering from Candida, then i will go into what other actions that should be considered.

Basic Candida Diet

The basic candida diet consists of little amounts of yeasts whether natural forming yeasts or not and cutting out sugar. This means plenty of fresh veges, low sugar fruits and no mushrooms (yeast)..

As for drinking considerations beer is a no no, while low sugar fruits such as fresh apple is fine. As a basic guide plenty of water is a good cleaner.

Another aspect to consider in a candida diet is little carbs, yes the same aspects that make us gain weight also aid the candida infection so eliminate as much carbs as possible.. Try to focus more on the high protein food groups like eggs and low fat meats..

There are many tests to diagnose Candida, however I believe the Candida Spit Test is one of the easiest. It is simply done by taking a clean glass of water and spitting in it, one spit is enough. In time you can see if many strand type root strings are going down. This is the sign of Candida. The degree of how much strands indicates how badly one has Candida. If say only small root like strings appear then Candida is mild. If no strings appear than Candida is not the issue and if the strands string all the way down to the bottom of the glass then watch out, it sounds like a serious case of Candida.

The duration to string action is also a factor when looking at the glass. If it happens within minutes it means the Candida is very active in the body and if slowly over many hours it means the Candida within you is slowly active and less aggressive. Overall it is a cheap and quick way to conclude how your Candida is progressing.

What you want in the end in a good test is a very clean looking glass with little to no Candida String action.

The question “Can Candida Kill?” was asked of me recently which i thought needed some more pondering on in a post. I have read many journals, books on Candida and they all do quote something in common. If Candida becomes chronic it can be very deadly..

As part of my story with Candida, I will go back to when i first was diagnosed with Chronic Candida. Now i totally do not have Candida, but still remember it like it was yesterday.

Before diagnosis, i was admitted to many hospitals, doctors, specialists for all types of ailments. Earaches, Fever, indigestion, cramps and lastly the worst one was shortness of breath. Yes to the point i could hardly get air in.. Shortness of breath is the worst especially when you do not know what is wrong with you..

Okay so back to my story. The Doctor that finally diagnosed me, (and my savior considering over 6 months went by without another doctor having a clue what was wrong with me..) concluded that after many tests that my Candida infection was the worst he had ever seen. Nice thing to be told, when all you want is relief..

Okay so, to cut a long story short i was diagnosed after many tests with Chronic Candida. Basically meaning a critical state of my body and how it processed anything.. It could be food, dust, pollen… anything could react.. My body basically could not deal with any more lowering of the immune system, beyond what Candida was causing..

When in private talking, he disclosed to me that in this type of serious infection without treatment, many have died. It is not like dying from Candida itself, it is what Candida can cause.. A heart attack for example or even Cancer…

Yes, Candida can KILL…

The point of what i am saying is yes Candida can kill… Even though on a doctor report it may say death by something else, immune illnesses such as Candida have ways of pushing the body in all sorts of ways.

Foods & Drinks That Cause Candida Albicans

In this post I wanted to list some possible causes for creating an environment where Candida can flourish. To some it may not cause Candida directly, however these types of food put you in the high risk category. These foods or drinks by themselves can be completely fine, however if more than one combo is common be careful. We can all get a Candida infection remember…

Foods and Drinks to be Careful of..

Vegemite (Yeast Extract)
Mushrooms (Fungus)
Beer (brewed yeast)
High bread diet
High doses of sugar
Non Fresh Veges and Fruits (fruits and veges carry mold on there surfaces if they are not fresh. These can lead the the development of Candida. Peeling as well may not help. )
Peanuts and most nuts ( Most nuts that are not 100% fresh have mold all over them. this mold can cause Candida.)

Like I said above, you have to decide whether you are in the risk category or if you are abusing these foods or drinks above. If you are, maybe taper off on the combinations to lesson the chance of infection.

Candida – The Drunken Illness

Here is an interesting one for you. In many forms of Asian medicine “Candida” is referred to as the “Drunken Illness”. Interestingly enough there is a very good reason.

As a lot of Candida sufferers are aware Candida was not a recognised illness in western medicines until the late 90’s. This does not mean in Asian medicine it was not. In fact it was recognised way back and given the nick name the Drunken Illness. The truth behind the name is interesting.

THE DRUNKEN Illness

As we know candida is a yeast overgrowth infection caused by too much yeast in the bowels and allergies being formed by this infection. When food is eaten in this state, the bowels react differently than a healthy body, they almost ferment the food and cause a reaction similar in nature to producing alcohol. In many ways some of the symptoms of Candida would simply of been the fermentation causing negative effects.

In extreme circumstances of Candida (chronic infection) some testimonies claim to be over the limit alcohol wise due to Candida, not due to drinking. In fact it goes so far as people being pulled over for drink driving and the person not drinking all day. So it appears in some circumstances Candida is almost like a home brewing system inside.
